Abstract

Lead chromate pigments are prepd. by depositing on the pigment particles 5-50% of silica based on total wt. of silica and pigment, encapsulating the silica coated pigment with 10-70% of polyolefin wax, based on total wt. and recovering the pigment as individual particles. The obtd. pigment is used in the compounding and moulding of thermoplastic.
