Abstract

1350794 Pressurized dispensing containers PRECISION VALVE CORP 2 Sept 1971 [18 Sept 1970] 40918/71 Heading F1R [Also in Division B2] A mechanical nebulisation device comprises a tube 10 terminating in a transverse wall 14 the outer face of which is formed with a central depression 36 and grooves 20, 22 extending tangentially from the depression to communicate with the tube passage 12, and a cap 26, the interior surface of which co-operates with the depression and grooves to form a swirl chamber and flow passages, the end wall of the cap having a discharge orifice 32 coaxial with the swirl chamber. The device as shown produces a conical spray of fine droplets. The parts may be easily moulded from conventional plastics materials and the nozzle is preferably used to break up the stream from a pressurized dispenser.
