Abstract

1350722 Triazolobenzodiazepines UPJOHN CO 6 April 1972 [28 April 1971] 15980/72 Heading C2C Triazolobenzodiazepines are prepared by the following route (R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>11</SP>=H, C 1-3 alkyl or NR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>11</SP> = pyrrolidino, piperidino, hexamethyleneimino, morpholino; R 1 =H, C 1-3 alkyl; R 2-5 = H, C 1-3 alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl or alkylsulphonyl, halogen, CF 3 , NO 2 , CN, di- (C 1-3 alkyl)amino), optionally followed by salt formation at any stage. The above compounds are sedatives, tranquillizers and muscle relaxants, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical or veterinary compositions containing them in association with a carrier.
