Abstract
1350713 Diamino diarylmethanes BAYER AG 13 July 1972 [15 July 1971] 32728/72 Heading C2C Diamino-diarylmethanes having a high content of 2,41-diaminodiarylmethane are prepared by heating an amine mixture of a polyarylamine having the formula in which n is 0 or an integer from 1 to 8, R is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or aralkyl having 7 to 10 carbon atoms, and R 1 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, with a monoarylamine of the formula in the presence of a solid, acid-reacting inorganic substance, which is insoluble in the amines used and which does not melt under the reaction conditions.
