Abstract

1350203 Sewing machines CLIX FASTENERS (UK) Ltd 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 11236/70 Heading D1G A device for guiding a sliding clasp fastener sandwiched between upper and lower layers of material to a stitching point comprises upper and lower guides 13, 77 for the layers and a middle guide 19 for the fastener. The guides are shaped so as to fold the edges of the material so that they are hidden. In a modification (Fig. 7 not shown) the upper edge is folded on top of the material. A cusp in the centre of the middle guide accommodates the fastener chain. The layers are stitched between beak-like extensions at one end of the guides. The guides may extend outwards to support the material.
