Abstract
1349995 Particle separator B P LEHNERT 3 June 1971 [4 June 1970] 18871/71 Heading B2J A particle separator comprises a cylindrical chamber 12, electromagnets 17, 18 for producing an axial magnetic field B, concentric electrodes 21 for producing a radial electric field E, a contaminated gas inlet 13 arid outlets 15, 16 for emission of gas containing relatively lighter and heavier particles respectively. Electrodes 21 may be provided at both ends and the proportion of charged particles may be increased by discharge between the electrodes. The following abridgement is included in this series since the Specification was through an error, not allotted to this group. Reference to it will be found in the name index to this volume.
