Abstract

1349611 Trisazo dyes BAYER AG 7 June 1972 [8 June 1971] 26578/72 Heading C4P New trisazo dyes of formula wherein R is H or an alkyl or alkoxy group in o- or mposition to -N=N-, R 1 is H or an electron-repelling substituent in m- or p-position to the azo group, R 2 is a C 1-6 alkyl group and K is the radical of an hydroxy-benzoic or -naphthoic acid coupling component are prepared by coupling a tetrazotized 3,3<SP>1</SP>-dialkoxy-benzidine with in either order, K-H and a 2-phenylazo-1- amino - 8 - naphthol - 3,6 - disulphonic acid. The dyes yield blue and green shades on leather and cellulose fibre materials.
