1348890 Window wiper mechanisms CHRYSLER UNITED KINGDOM Ltd 14 Oct 1971 [16 Oct 1970] 49338/70 Heading A4F A window wiper mechanism particularly for cleaning a vehicle rear window comprises a polygonal ring 24 for wiping the window, a guide 28 engageable by one side of the ring 24 at a time for guiding the ring 24 to move linearly parallel to the engaging side, and drive means, e.g. a pinion 17, for displacing the sides of the ring 24 along the guide 28 and rotating the ring 24 on completion of the linear displacement of one side thereof to bring a further side of the ring 24 into engagement with the guide 28. The pinion 17 is driven by a further pinion on the shaft of an electric motor 18, Fig. 3, (not shown), and engages a track 27 on the inner periphery of the ring 24 which carries along each side a wiper blade (25) of triangular section.
