1347038 Ships fittings C & C YACHTS Ltd 20 Oct 1971 [18 June 1971] 48800/71 Heading B7S The hull-to-deck joint of a sailing vessel includes a toe-rail 10 comprising a base 12, a vertical rib 14, a rounded top bead 16 and a downturned lip 18. The base 12 has holes to receive screw fastenings 60 which also pass through the deck 30, flange 22 of the hull 20 and a sealing strip 40 held between them. Rib 14 has apertures 19 to permit the drainage of water from the deck and for the attachment of fair leads &c. Sealing strip 40 has an external portion 44 which serves as a fender.
