Abstract

1347017 Collapsible containers; load handling pallets D J SCHUBERT and D R HOWE 21 Jan 1972 [22 Feb 1971] 5123/71 Headings B8P and B8H A container of wood or aluminium alloy has a base 2 with beams 3 to facilitate use with a forklift truck, two opposite walls being connected to the base by means 11 and the other pair of walls being secured by latches 7, 8 and pins 10 engaging eyelets 9. All four walls are detachable. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown) the pin 10 and eyelet 9 are replaced by a dowel (15a) in the end of an upright member (15) on the inside of the wall engaging a hole (16) in a corner of the base, the hole may be reinforced by sheet metal (17).
