Abstract

1346793 Identification strap PETER STEER DEVELOPMENTS Ltd 18 May 1972 [19 May 1971] 15724/71 Heading B8F An identification strap for use in hospitals is formed from a transparent p.v.c. tube 1, one end 2 of which is open to enable the insertion of an identification strip 14, and the other end of which is attached to a fastener 3. In use the strip 14 is broken off at 16 and the strap wrapped around a patient's wrist; the end of the strap being held by pins 9 and pierced by a punch pin 11, and a locking tooth 13 engaging a slot 12 prevents removal of the strap.
