1345948 Acrylamide E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 15 Dec 1971 68239/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Acrylamide is obtained by neutralizing acrylamide sulphate with ammonia (gaseous or liquid) to form ammonium sulphate and acrylamide, and recovering the latter in solution in liquid ammonia. The acrylamide sulphate may be that obtained by hydration of acrylonitrile in the presence of sulphuric acid.
