Abstract

1294442 Isourea and guanidine derivatives GLAXO LABORATORIES Ltd 13 Feb 1970 [14 Feb 1969] 8255/69 Heading C2C O-alkyl or O-aralkyl isourea hydrogen sulphates are obtained by reacting cyanamide with appropriate alcohols in the presence of at least one mole of sulphuric acid relative to the cyanamide. The compounds may be converted to guanidines by reaction with amines, e.g. 1,17- diamino-9-aza heptadecane; at pH of 7 to 9.
