Abstract

1345406 False twisting LEESONA CORP 21 June 1971 [22 June 1970] 29044/71 Heading D1D Yarn is false twisted by passing it twice in two paths through a rotatable member having spaced apart frictional surfaces 44, 46 so that the yarn engages one of the surfaces 44 or 46 in each path. As shown, the yarn first engages friction ring 46, then is passed around grooved guide 50 to engage the upper friction ring 44 before passing through the rotating tube 10 for a second time. The strand may pass from a heater to the twisting tube and then to a drawing roller.
