Abstract

1345264 Heterocyclic amino hydroxy ketones DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 29 April 1971 [30 April 1970] 12072/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds of Formula I wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are H or C 1-4 alkyl and X is one of the radicals of formulµ which may optionally be substituted by one or more of C 1-6 alkyl, C 1-6 alkoxy, phenyl cr halogen substituents and Y is O, S or NH and salts thereof are prepared by one of the following- methods: (a) a compound of Formula IV is reacted with a compound of formula XCOCH 2 R<SP>1</SP> in the presence of formaldehyde or a compound yielding formaldehyde under the reaction conditions, or (b) a compound of Formula IV above is reacted with a compound of one of the formulµ wherein R<SP>a</SP> and R<SP>b</SP> are alkyl or together form a ring and Hal is Cl or Br optionally with salt formation. 2 - # - Chloropropionyl - thiophene is prepared by action of HC1 on 2-thienyl vinyl ketone obtained by action of steam on 2-#-dimethylaminopropionylthiopene prepared by reacting 2-acetylthiophene, paraformaldehyde and dimethylamine. Pharmaceutical compositions in conventional forms for oral perlingual or parenteral administration and having bronchospasmolytic, cardio-circulatory and antiphlogistic activity comprise an above novel compound and a carrier therefor.
