Abstract

1345244 Toy railway systems G S OBERDORF 23 Feb 1971 5200/71 Heading A6S In a toy railway system of the kind in which the train is driven by a d.c. voltage applied between the track rails 6, 7, alternating audio signals are also applied to the rails from a tape recorder, a loudspeaker 2 carried on a model railway car 1 being connected through a capacitor 3 between a pair of conductive wheels (4), Fig. 3 (not shown) running respectively on the two track rails. The loudspeaker 2 is mounted on the bottom of the car 1 over an aperture so that the sounds are directed downwardly towards the track. The wheels (4) to which the speaker is connected are mounted at opposite ends of the car 1 and weights 16, 17 ensure good contact with the wheels.
