Abstract

1344891 Graft polymers and compositions thereof KUREHA KAGAKU KOGYO KK 8 Oct 1971 [8 Oct 1970] 46938/71 Heading C3G A graft polymer is produced by grafting 15 to 45 parts by weight of a mixture of styrene and methyl methacrylate having styrene as the principal constituent and subsequently 11 to 45 parts of methyl methacrylate on to 40 to 70 parts of polybutadiene or butadiene-styrene rubber in latex form, at least 50% by weight of the rubber particles having a size of at least 0-15 micron and less than 15% by weight of the particles having a size of 0À1 micron or less. The graft polymer is blended with vinyl chloride resin. In the example, divinyl benzene is used as cross-linking graft monomer.
