Abstract

1344588 Clips and clamps BURGESS PRODUCTS CO Ltd 5 Feb 1972 5436/72 Heading E2B A quick release device 2 for hanging articles with opposed inside walls 26 comprises a spring wire 4 bent at one end to form a hook 6 and at the other end to form an upwardly acutely angled portion 10 and is provided with a handle 14 force fitted onto portion 10 whereby to secure the article handle 14 and a downwardly extending portion 8 are pressed towards each other and the device inserted into the article. The resilience of the wire causes frictional contact with the article walls 26 to hold the article in place. Release is effected by handle 14. The wire 4 may be coiled between portions 8 and 10 to provide longer-lasting resilience.
