Abstract

1344217 Antiskid braking systems SOC ANON DBA 18 July 1972 [2 Aug 1971] 33497/72 Heading F2F An antiskid braking system comprises at least one wheel speed sensor C supplying an alternating voltage, whose frequency represents a wheel speed, to an amplifier A whose output signal is fed to a frequency/voltage converter CFT which supplies a direct voltage representing the said frequency to an anti-lock logic element providing signals to maintain or relax braking pressure, the amplifier being a differential amplifier having cut-offs or thresholds. The non- inverting input of the amplifier is fed via a resistor R1, the other input being earthed and feed-back is provided via a resistor R2 having a value of for example a thousand times that of R1. The arrangement is intended to prevent noise signals provided, for example, by a vibrating locked wheel from interfering with operation of the system.
