Abstract

1344097 Antiskid braking systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 28 April 1971 [29 April 1970] 11766/71 Heading F2F An antiskid pneumatic braking system comprising a control device 10 which connects a source of pressure air to brake cylinders when the brakes are applied but interrupts the supply of pressure air when wheel lock takes place and connects both sides of the brake cylinders by means of valves 6, 7, 6<SP>1</SP>, 7<SP>1</SP> also includes relief valves 31 which connect the rear of cylinders to atmosphere when the brakes are applied but interrupt this connection when wheel lock takes place. The brake system also includes circuits 2, 3, a two circuit control valve 1, and sensors 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, 5, 5<SP>1</SP> which supply signals to the device 10. The valve device 6 includes a solenoid operated valve 11 and a control valve arrangement 12 having a valve member 18 on a stem 20 and a fixed seat 19 the member 18 being moved by means of a piston 22. Relief valve 31 is situated in a passage 27 branching from a passageway 26 connecting a chamber 25 with valve 11 and the relief valve connects counter-pressure chamber 35 of brake cylinder 8 to atmosphere to allow the brakes to be reapplied.
