1343837 Refractories BABCOCK & WILCOX CO 19 April 1971 [25 March 1970] 25531/71 Heading C1J A refractory article is obtained by fusing 42- 48% Al 2 O 3 , 17-23% SiO 2 , 33-39% unstabilized ZrO 2 and a balance of 0-2%, crushing the fusion-the Al 2 O 3 and SiO 2 being present as mullite-mixing 50-80% of it with a refractory binder, shaping and firing. The binder comprises clay, ZrSiO 4 and Al 2 O 3 .
