Abstract
1343430 Dyeing cellulose and polyamide textiles IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 11 June 1971 [16 June 1970] 29128/70 Addition to 1243403 Heading D1L The dyeing process of the parent Specification is modified in that the textiles to be dyed are in the form of made-up articles, the articles being sanwiched between a lower supporting belt and an upper liquid-permeable cover, the longitudinally moving "sandwich" being subjected to the said dyeing process. Either or both belts may be endless and both may be liquid-permeable. As disclosed, the lower belt is endless and made of rubber-covered textile while the upper belt is cheesecloth wound off a fresh roll and taken up on a second roll after dyeing. For fixing the dye the "sandwich" may be treated as a whole, on the articles removed and fixed separately. Part of the upper belt may be selectively blocked-off to prevent dyepermeation. Other details are as disclosed in the Parent Specification.
