Abstract
1343366 Casement bearing; operating windows GRETSCH-UNITAS GmbH 2 March 1972 [8 March 1971] 9824/72 Headings E2F and E2M In a casement bearing in which an intermediate member 3 is pivoted at 4, 5 to a frame mounting member 1 and a window mounting member 2, the members 2, 3 move about pivot 4 to the open position shown in Fig. 2 when the window is moved from the closed position, and any movement about pivot 5 is prevented by the engagement of an element 7 on member 2 with a guide cam 6 on member 1; the cam 6 being integral with a friction disc (12 Fig. 4) which is mounted on the pivot 4 to retard pivotal movement between members 1 and 3. Further rotation about pivot 4 causes element 7 to move beyond cam 6 and this allows member 2 to be swung about pivot 5 to the position shown in Fig. 1 in which the window can be cleaned.
