Abstract

1343321 Mould opening and closing RHEINMETALL GmbH 20 April 1971 [25 April 1970] 10161/71 Heading B5A In a moulding machine having each mould part actuated by an hydraulic cylinder for opening and closing the mould, these cylinders are connected in parallel, a member indicates the position of at least one mould part relative to its correct position when closed and a positioning arrangement displaces all mould parts in the same direction as a function of the indicated position. As shown in the Figure, mould parts 53, 55 are actuated by hydraulic cylinders 10, 12 connected in parallel through main valve 18 to pump 20. Synchronizing cylinders 22, 24 are connected to the piston-rods of cylinders 10, 12 by elements 14, 16 to correct movements of the mould parts. Synchronizing lines 32, 34 are connected to pump 26 via valve 30 and to cylinders 22, 24 so that all mould parts are driven in the same direction. Valve 30 is actuated by solenoids 40, 42 in response to signals from switches 56, 58 which may be closed if blowing nozzle 57 is displaced. Line 64 connecting the other side of the twin pump 26 to lines 32, 34 compensates for temperature variations in the hydraulic pressure circuit. The machine may be a blow-moulding machine.
