Abstract

1343194 Curtain walling SOC ANON DES USINES CHAUSSON 19 April 1971 [26 May 1970] 26980/71 Headings E1B and E1W Wall panels with a cellular concrete core 1 embedded in a synthetic resin foam 2 and faced by plates 3, 4 have upper and lower externally concave girders 5, 6 which are joined to a building structure 21 of metal, concrete or wood by means of reinforcement pieces 11, 18, 23 seating in the girder concavity and having elements 12, 20, 24 welded thereto and extending from the panel rear face for fastening by means of bolts (not shown) to the structure 21. The reinforcement pieces may be bolted to the upper girders of depending panels. Synthetic resin gaskets 7 fill the upper and lower ends of the panels and a drip tray 14, 14a may be provided in the outer joint which may be filled with putty 17, 22. The reinforcement piece 11 may be secured to the foundation and spaced from the lower girder of the bottom wall panel by wooden wedges 15 for heat and sound insulation. The upper element 24 may form a wall plate against which the roof structure 26 bears.
