Abstract

1343097 Excavators VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT STROITELNOGO I DOROZHNOGO MASHINOSTROENIA 6 March 1972 10373/72 Heading E1F To allow of linear movement of an excavator implement during its working travel, the implement is supported from a vehicle, e.g. a chassis-mounted turntable, by a six bar mechanism in which a boom 2 and a piston cylinder unit 8 are pivotally connected to the turntable 1 and an arm 5 at 13, 4 and 10 respectively, the arm 5 pivotally carrying an implementcarrying bracket 13 connected by a link 11 pivotally connected at 12 to the boom 2. Piston cylinder units are pivotally connected between the boom and the arm and arm and the implement, e.g. a bucket 6. Rectilinear movement of the implement is obtained when the piston cylinder unit 8 is locked and the piston cylinder unit 17 is extended or contracted.
