Abstract

134,299. Parker, J. W., and Abrahams, E. Goldsmid-. Oct. 29, 1918. Starting.-To facilitate starting in automobile engines using producer gas as fuel, the induction pipe a has, in addition to the producer-gas inlet c, an inlet pipe b from a petrol or like carburettor, a three-way cock d being provided whereby either mixture from the carburettor for starting, or producer gas for normal running, may be introduced to the induction pipe. In starting with the carburettor, the engine drives.the fan which supplies air to the producer.
