Abstract

1342959 Waste disposal apparatus; disc mills AWAB ANDERSTORPS WERKSTADS AB 3 May 1971 [12 May 1970] 12767/71 Heading B2A A waste disposal apparatus comprises a disc 11 having cutting edges 14, 15 and arranged at the bottom of a chamber 1 to receive a waste-filled sock 6 via an inlet opening, 10, a compressing arrangement comprising a piston 3 which can be pressed against the waste during grinding and means 12 for collecting the disintegrated waste which is removed radially-outwardly from the rotating disc. As described a displaceable cylinder 2 which has a radial flange 2a at its bottom end provided with radially-extending cutting edges, is brought down by operation of one or more hydraulic cylinders 4. Ground waste is ejected through a slit between the lowered cylinder 2 and the disc 11 into a helical chamber 12 from which it is discharged at 17. Disinfectant may be applied at the inlet 10 or outlet 17. The product may be used as a filler in binding work.
