Abstract

1342398 Rail vehicle undercarriages STANDARD CAR TRUCK CO 21 May 1971 16413/71 Heading B7L A rail vehicle anti-rocking centre beg @ assembly has a circular boss 9 mounted on a truck bolster 16 and encircled by an annu @ bearing surface 13 a bearing ring 6 depending from a vehicle body bolster 1 and a floating friction ring 14 also encircling the boss 9, the friction ring fitting between the bearing ring 6 and the surface 13, the body bolster 1 having a cylindrical aperture 5 which receives a centre pin 12 the lower end of which fits in a cylindrical aperture 10 in the truck bolster which has a pocket 11 at its lower end, the friction ring being free to travel angularly about the boss. The bearing ring 6 has one edge flattened at 15, and the surface 13 is flattened on oppoiste sides (18, 19), in parallel with the longitduinal axes of their respective bolsters, see Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown).
