Abstract

1342163 Pipe connectors BENDIX CORP 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 23442/71 Heading F2G A connector for fluid flow lines 41 comprises blocks 11, 21 of resilient material each formed with at least one through passage accommodating a tube or tubes 1; projecting ends of the tubes 1 are adapted for connection to the fluid flow lines 41 and the other projecting end of the or each tube 1 associated with block 11 is formed with an annular rib 3, which ensures a fluid tight connection within the passage or passages of block 21, when the two parts of the connector are joined. As shown, the blocks 11 and 21 are secured within sleeves 13 and 23 which are secured together by a nut 31 when the two connector parts have been joined. An axial rib (not shown) of sleeve 13 is engageable in an axial slot (not shown) of sleeve 23 to ensure alignment of the passages in the two blocks. Each tube 1 may have a smaller inner diameter at one end than the other.
