Abstract

1341899 Electro-phoretic coating for steel ROLLS-ROYCE (1971) Ltd 8 June 1972 [17 June 1971] 28369/71 Heading C7B A mixture of Al powder and an organic resin is electro-phoretically applied to a steel part, heated to drive off the organic resin and subsequently impregnated with a temperature resisting material such as potassium silicate. In Example 1 the impregnated coating is stoved for 80 min. at 150‹C. The temperature resisting coating may be applied as an aqueous solution.
