Abstract

1341477 Circular saws ACHENBACH BUSCHHUTTEN GmbH 19 April 197 [15 July 1970] 23489/71 Heading B5L In a bar saw comprising a roller bed for carrying a bar B and a saw carriage 21 which during the cutting operation is moved transversely of the roller bed, the saw carriage is displaceable on a carrier 19 which is supported at its two ends by supports 14, 15 which are adjustable in height. This allows the saw blade to be raised after a cutting operation and returned, above the bar, to its starting position. In the machine described the supports 14, 15 are slidable in recesses in columns 11, 12 under the control of synchronously operated pressure cylinders 16, 17. During cutting, the bar is held by devices 4, 5. Part of the carrier 19 may have a guide for the saw carriage 21. Means may be provided in the columns 11, 12 to hold the supports 14, 15 immovable when they are in their lowest positions.
