Abstract

1341352 Nasal cannulas HUDSON OXYGEN THERAPY SALES CO 17 Jan 1972 [22 March 1971] 2126/72 Heading AST [Also in Divisions B4 and B5] A flexible thermoplastic nasal cannula comprises a main tube 32, an angled inlet tube 36, two straight or curved nasal tips 34, 35 and flattened extensions 38, 39 for an elastic strap. The cross-section is circular, rectangular, hexagonal or ellipsoidal, and the material comprises PVC or polyvinyl acetate. A method of injection moulding the cannula around a core is described (see Divisions B4-B5), the core being removed through a lipped slot 43, the lips then being sealed and trimmed.
