Abstract

1,058,888. Endotracheal catheter. W. RUSCH and H. RUSCH, [trading as WILLY RUSCH]. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 17, 1963], No. 31414/64. Headings A5R and AST. An endotracheal catheter for anaesthetic administration comprises a tube which is S- shaped in its natural unrestrained state. As shown, a catheter comprises a straight section 1, a curved section 2, the radius of curvature of which is 50-75 mm., a straight section 5, and a curved section 6, the radius of curvature of which is 75 to 95 mm. Angle 4 is 80 to 90 degrees and angle 8 is 35 to 50 degrees. The tube may be made of rubber, polyvinyl chloride or silicone rubber. The catheter also comprises inflatable bulb 9 connected to a control bulb 11.
