Abstract

1341173 Tethered ball practising device G M W PRUSS 30 March 1972 [8 April 1971] 15151/72 Heading A6D A golf practising device comprises a ball, a ring attached to the ball and a tee device secured to the ring opposite the ball, and a guide line passing through the ring, one end of the guide line being secured adjacent the ground and the other end being secured above the ground so that the guide line is inclined. When the ball is struck from the lowest end of the guide line it will pass along the line and will subsequently return to the striker under the influence of gravity. The ring may be a short pitch helix (e.g. as a key ring) and may be adhered to the ball or screwed into the ball via an attached thread. The tee device is conveniently a peg to enable the ball to be located in the conventional manner, for a golf stroke. A cushion may be provided at the highest end of the guide line to absorb the impact of the ball after a stroke.
