Abstract

1340877 Contact lenses WESLEY-JESSEN Inc 5 Jan 1971 [5 Jan 1970] 34167/70 Heading G2J A contact lens comprises a light-transmitting area 13, provided with proper correction for distance vision, centrally located, and a surrounding "opaque" region 17 defining an essentially circular pattern, having light-transmitting regions 16 communicating with area 13 and extending radially from this area, the regions 16 having a width substantially smaller than the diameter of area 13. The term "opaque" is used to mean that the region reduces transmission by at least 50%. Other forms of light-transmitting areas are illustrated Figs. 2 and 4-7, (not shown).
