Abstract

1306857 Contact lenses B KHOO 31 Aug 1971 [4 June 1970] 26914/70 Heading G2J A contact lens has a central portion having a back surface which is concave, and a peripheral surface which is convex as seen in a cross-section whose sectional plane includes the axis of the generally disc-like form of the lens. As shown, the radius of the concave portion r e is preferably equal to that of the convex portion r p , and the centres are collinear with the point 3 where the two parts merge. The lens contacts the eye at about this point 3. A hole or holes having countersinks on both sides may extend through the lens in the central portion.
