Abstract

1337850 Valves SPERRY RAND CORP 19 April 1971 [23 March 1970] 24829/71 Heading F2V A pilot valve having a spool 14 moved by opposed solenoids acting through plungers 30 is provided with friction pads 56 loaded on to each plunger by a C-shaped spring 60. The end 34 of each plunger is received in a spool slot 36 so that after movement of the spool by one of the solenoids and after de-energization of that solenoid the spool is maintained in actuated position by the friction of the pads on the plungers.
