Abstract
1337404 Propulsion units SOC NATIONALE INDUSTRIELLE AEROSPATIALE 24 Nov 1970 [24Nov1969] 55926/70 Heading F3A A propulsion unit comprises two combustion stages provided by two propellant charges 8, 8<SP>1</SP> in two respective chambers 11, 12, the chambers being coated with a winding 18 of resin-impregnated fibre. As shown, the charges 8, 8<SP>1</SP> consist of discs 1 supported on hollow tube 3, and the chambers are separated by dome 9. Combustion gases are discharged through nozzles 21 or, in another embodiment, through hollow tube 3. In an alternative construction. Fig. 2 (not shown), the charge comprises two solid blocks of propellant.
