Abstract
1336757 Polyvinyl chloride CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED 26 May 1971 [11 June 1970] 17259/71 Heading C3P Polyvinyl chloride having improved heat stability is obtained by the use of t-butyllithium, which should contain less than 0À1 wt., per cent of impurities, as the polymerization catalyst. The polymerization is carried out, in bulk or in solution, at -20‹C to + 30‹C and 1 to 4 atm. The catalyst may be added in small portions as the reaction proceeds in order to maintain a constant low concentration.
