Abstract
1336390 Knitting machines FOUQUETWERK FRAUZ & PLANCK 20 Aug 1971 [22 Aug 1970] 39250/71 Heading D1C A circular knitting machine having a series of support posts 2 mounted on the machine frame each carrying an arm 4 which extends radially outwards with each of which posts and arms is associated means operated synchronously to raise and lower a spool carrier ring 6. Ring 6 may be suspended by cables 5 carried on roller 9 on arms 4 and wound on a drum 11 which is driven by an electric motor to raise and lower the drum. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder and piston arrangement raises and lowers the ring while in another modification Fig. 3 (not shown) a nut carrying an arm is raised and lowered by a screw driven through gearing.
