Abstract

1335427 Cement compositions DOW CHEMICAL CO 29 June 1971 [2 July 1970] 30450/71 Heading C1H A latex modified cement contains 1À5-3À0% of a mixture of fibres of both a synthetic resin and a metal in a volume ratio of 1 : 2 to 2 : 1. The latex cement ratio is 0À1-0À25 to 1, and nylon and steel are preferred fibres with other synthetics listed. The latices are either interpolymers containing 50-90% vinylidene chloride the remainder being one or more of acrylates, vinyl chloride and acrylonitriles; or butadiene-styrene ores. Aggregates are sand, Al 2 O 3 , gravel, emery, marble, sawdust, cinders, asbestos, mica, talc, or flint.
