Abstract

1335179 Loading containers into ships D P BERTLIN P C MORNEMENT and J D METTAM [trading as BERTLIN & PARTNERS] 16 Dec 1970 [24 Sept 1969] 47074/69 Heading B8Q Containers 44, Fig. 3, are loaded through the side of a ship, Fig. 5, by a travelling support 38, 40 suspended from rails 32 which run longitudinally of the hold and are mounted below the deck 10. The support 38 is itself supported by a wheeled carriage 24 which moves transversely of the ship on further rails 22, Fig. 2 (not shown).
