1335090 Seat slides ETABS BERTRAND FAURE 8 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 57087/71 Heading A4J [Also in Division F2] A rectilinear motion ball bearing for a vehicle seat comprises a lower slide 1 composed of two channel sectioned elements 4, 5 housed one within the other, the wings 5 3 of the inner element diverging, each at an angle α of 30 - 100 degrees to the vertical, and an upper slide 2 comprising an inverted channel sectioned element 7 with converging wings 7 2 which envelop the wings 5 3 , there being balls 3 between the wings 7 2 and the wings 4 2 of the outer channel sectioned element of the lower slide. The elements 4, 5 and 6, 7 of each pair may be welded together, and may be formed from 1À5 mm sheet steel.
