Abstract

1334907 Dispensing batter SIMON-VICARS Ltd 5 May 1972 [29 June 1971] 30288/71 Heading A2A [Also in Division F2] Apparatus for dispensing fluent cooking materials, e.g. for delivering batter to a conveyer having wafer plates connected by chains, comprises a tube 11 with a plurality of apertures 12, a sleeve 13 with apertures 16 rotatable on the tube, and means 17 attached to the exterior of the sleeve for retaining any drips of material emitted from the apertures at the end of a dispensing cycle. As shown, the means 17 comprises a skirt defining a cup surrounding each aperture 16. At the end of a dispensing cycle the supply of material to the tube is cut off and the sleeve is turned manually or mechanically by an arm 15 to move the apertures 16, which are of smaller diameter than the apertures 12, out of register with the latter, and any drips are retained by the cups 17 as they become partially inverted due to the rotation of the sleeve.
