Abstract

1334428 Feeding sheets ADAMOVSKE STROJIRNY NARODNI PODNIK 29 April 1971 [26 June 1970] 12186/71 Heading B8R Sheets are separated from a pile 37 and fed to the impression cylinder 2 of a printing-cylinder by two friction rollers 35 of polyurethane based material, controlled in synchronism with the cylinder. When a lever 12 is retracted to allow a latch 8 to engage a disc 1, a cam 10 having a track 13 is locked to the cylinder shaft and rotates so as to oscillate an arm 16 having teeth 19 engaging a pinion 20. In one direction of movement of the arm 16, the rollers 35 are rotated through a gear train 21, 22, 23 and a coupling 24 on a hexagonal shaft 25 of the rollers, the coupling preventing reverse rotation of the rollers. The shaft 25 is supported on holders 28 pivoted to the machine frame 18, the presence of the rollers on the pile being adjustable by a spring 40. One of the bearings of the shaft 25 is pivotable to allow removal of the rollers. The degree of engagement between the teeth 19 and the pinion 20 is adjustable by an eccentric pivot 17 of the rod 16. The timing of the feed is controlled by angularly adjusting the disc 1 on the cylinder shaft.
