1334041 Accelerometer DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 20 Nov 1970 [15 Sept 1969] 45377/69 Headings G1K and G1N An accelerometer comprises a housing having a spherical cavity filled with water, oil or mercury, and a fluid-pressure transducer 17 at the centre of the cavity. The transducer may comprise two resilient diaphragms the deflections of which are measured by electrical strain gauges connected to a recorder. Alternatively the transducer may comprise a flexible diaphragm moving against a spring, and the output from the transducer may be transmitted by mechanical means.
