Abstract

1333643 Ventilating vehicles ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 Aug 1971 [22 Aug 1970] 38868/71 Heading F4V An air distribution device for a vehicle comprises a housing 10 having an inlet and two outlets 12, 12<SP>1</SP> controlled by a flap 15 which is pivotally mounted at 16 and is resilient whereby pivoting of the flap 15 into contact with a surface 10a causes deformation of the flap into either the position a or b. In its unflexed position free edges 15a, 15b of the flap contact a wall 11a of the housing 10. The flap is rotatable by a lever 17 which may be resilient and which is connected to an internally threaded guide 20 on a spindle 22. The spindle 22 includes a screw threaded portion 21 and smooth portions 24, 24<SP>1</SP> and is operated by a reversible motor 23. The housing 10 includes a heat exchanger 13 and the outlets 12, 12<SP>1</SP> guide air towards upper and lower regions of the two sides of the vehicle under the control of further flaps 25, 25<SP>1</SP>.
