1332699 Benzophenones F HOFFMANNLA ROCHE & CO AG 21 Dec 1970 [1 June 1970] 12291/72 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1 = H, Me; R 2 = H, -COCH 3 , -COCH 2 X; X = leaving atom or group, carbobenzoxyamino, phthalimido) are prepared by introducing the 5-iodo substituent using iodine in presence of an oxidizing agent.
