Abstract

1332641 Immersion heating elements J C TAYLOR 12 Oct 1970 [11 July 1969] 35161/69 Heading H5H [Also in Divisions H1 and H2] Heating apparatus for immersion into a container so as to heat the liquid therein comprises two sheathed heating elements 3, 4, the element 4 being longer than the element 3 so as to heat the liquid in a different portion of the container than that heated by the element 3, the heating resistor of the element 4 being located in the part of the element which extends below the element 3, the remainder of the element 4 being occupied by what are known as "cold leads". The two heating elements may be secured to a single head 2 as shown or alternatively each element may be provided with its own individual head in which head or heads are located a thermally operable control unit 1 for control of the heating elements.
